After creating your first display you’re ready to adjust its settings. To get started, click the cog wheel icon for your display to enter the settings admin:
Legend:
1. Main Settings
back to topScreen Type
back to topStandard Screen:
A screen design that has multiple slides that are meant to change over a set period of time.
Hero Scene:
The same as a “Standard Screen” but with only one slide.
Carousel Screen:
A screen type where multiple screens are shown in a fan-like display.
Slider Size
back to topThe Slider Size is where you can enter the desired aspect ratio, screen size, or a fixed pixel size via the “Custom” option.
2. General Settings
back to topSlideshow
back to topStop Slide on Hover:
If your display can be controlled by a traditional PC mouse, this option can be used to pause the screen’s progress when the mouse is hovered over the screen.
Stop Screen After:
Allows for the ability to stop a screen’s progress after any given slide, or after a set amount of loops.
Shuffle / Random Mode:
Start with a random slide every time the screen is refreshed.
Loop Single Slide:
Continuously reload a “Standard Screen” that contains only one slide.
Defaults
back to topThe settings here will be used as the default values for your individual slides. These can be set before you begin to create new slides, or to override settings for slides that have already been created, select the options you’d like to override and then click the “Overwrite Selected Settings on All Slides” button.
Progress Bar
back to topThe progress bar is a small, animated line that will display at the top or bottom of the screen, indicating the current slide’s progress (i.e. the time before the next slide is shown).
First Slide
back to topWhen the screen is first shown, the “Alternative 1st Slide” option can be enabled to display any given slide, and the “First Transition Active” option can be used to override the 1st slide’s default transition.
3. Additional Options
back to topLayout & Visual -> Appearance
The screen’s main background is what the viewer will see when the screen first loads, before the first slide animates into view. And it would also be visible when a slide with a transparent background is active.
Layout & Visual -> Spinner
A spinner is what would be shown when the screen first loads and also between slide changes, and is useful as an indicator to let the viewer know the screen is briefly “working” and new content will be displayed shortly.
Refresh
The refresh option can be used to automatically reload the screen after a designated amount of time. This is particularly useful for “Hero Scene” screens that contain only one slide.
